Australia’s Interior Trends for 2023

Resourceful-Living-Furniture-40

As we are flying into 2023, design trends are making a name for themselves! Gone are the white, neutral walls, and our colour and personality. After a couple of years of being stuck at home, the change of a wall is as good as a holiday. This year it is all about personality and connection.

Check out the top 10 trends coming to a home near you!

Sustainability

We are super pumped to hear that on top of the list is sustainability! As designers are regularly requested by their clients to provide spaces that encourage the use of sustainable materials, it is a win not only for clients but also for our wildlife and environment. People are asking more questions about where it was made, and what it is made from and are prepared to pay more for furniture that won’t be thrown after a year.

Texture

Giving a space a range of textures makes it feel homely and welcoming. It is comforting and allows us to decompress. Normally 2 to 3 main textures in the room feel just right for balance. Think this year, using both a combination of soft and hard textures to give your room depth.

Natural Materials

We are going back to our roots and enjoying an added touch to nature and our surroundings. Wood and indoor plants are a certain trend for 2023 with designers sharing that having natural materials helps us feel more in touch with the world around us. They even believe natural materials help us be more positive.

Personality Plus

Out with the white, bland walls and in with personality. What do you love? What do you want to look at every single day? Grab that colour, and bring it to life in your home! This year will see designers fulfilling clients’ dreams of personality-driven rooms.

Cozy Spaces

With years of creating “open plan living” now is the time to create small cozy spaces, where we connect, human to human. We are bombarded with electronics, the internet, and the go, go many clients are looking to create a space just for them. Let us spend 2023 connecting.

We are excited to see these trends take charge in both home and office!
