♻️ Glendale City Centre Sustainability Partnership

Glendale City Centre Sustainability Partnership

We’re turning waste into something wonderful and Glendale City Centre is helping lead the charge.

At Resourceful Living, our mission is simple: give plastic a second life through smart, sustainable design. That’s why we’re proud to announce our latest collaboration with Glendale City Centre, one of Australia’s few shopping centres actively embracing a closed-loop recycling program.

Together, we’re not only transforming back-of-house plastic waste into long-lasting furniture and infrastructure, we’re also engaging the community with hands-on education that inspires action from the ground up.

🧠 Join Us for Bag Tag Workshops — January 30 & 31

Hosted by Glendale City Centre and powered by Resourceful Living, our Bag Tag Workshops are a fun, family-friendly way to show just how easy it is to turn plastic waste into something useful.

🛍️ What’s a Bag Tag?
It’s a small, colourful tag made from 100% recycled plastic, perfect for school bags, luggage, or keys. Participants will get to create their very own tag while learning how plastic is sorted, melted, and reshaped.

📅 Workshop Dates:

  • Friday, January 30
    📍 Location: Glendale City Centre
    Times: 10am – 1pm
    More Information

  • Saturday, January 31
    📍 Location: Glendale City Centre
    Times: 10am – 1pm

It’s sustainability you can see, touch, and take home.

🏢 Glendale Sets the Standard in Sustainable Retail

Glendale City Centre has already diverted nearly 900kg of plastic waste from landfill since launching their closed-loop program in June 2025. That’s over 5 cubic metres of plastic that’s now being transformed into practical, attractive products, including bin lids, outdoor furniture, and signage used throughout the centre. Check out more about Glendale City Centre!

All collected plastic is sent to our Kurri Kurri factory, where it’s:

  • Sorted by type and colour

  • Pressed into solid, recyclable panels

  • Crafted into durable products made to last

“Glendale City Centre is walking the talk when it comes to sustainability and we’re proud to help bring their environmental goals to life.”

🌏 Engineered to Last — and Be Recycled Again

The panels we produce aren’t just eco-friendly, they’re built to withstand Australia’s harshest conditions. Our products are:

  • Heat, water, and weather-resistant

  • Impact, chip, and rust-proof

  • Termite and bacteria-resistant

  • 100% recyclable up to 11 times

Designed without veneers or coatings, these solid panels are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, and require low maintenance even in high-traffic environments.

👀 What’s Next?

You’ll soon start seeing recycled plastic furniture and signage appear throughout Glendale City Centre, from sleek tables to robust bin lids all created from waste once destined for landfill.

It’s proof that with the right partnerships, sustainability can be seamlessly woven into everyday spaces, functional, beautiful, and built to last.

We’re inviting businesses, councils, and schools to be part of the movement. Whether you’re hosting a clean-up or want to recycle your own plastic waste, Resourceful Living offers a scalable, traceable solution.
